Ajax Cape Town is activating a number of pre-match events leading up to the kick-off of the Cape Derby against Santos on Saturday evening to ensure that local fans have an awesome match-day experience.
Top of the list is a concert by South Africa’s most exciting new act….GoodLuck has 3 Number 1 singles, 3 international tours and 124 local performances in 1 year (including opening slots for Paul Oakenfold and Bassment Jaxx). Taking it Easy also made it onto the top 100 on the beatport international dance charts.
Their second single ‘Hop on Hop off’ reached # 1 on the 5FM top 40 charts and was the most played South African song across all radio for 2 weeks in a row as well as charting on all the other stations around SA in into the top 10 on Ibiza Global Radio. Their latest single ‘London Sixteen66’ has also been tearing up the charts and the airwaves for the past few months over summer 2011 / 2012.
Fans can also enjoy the MTN Yellow Zone that includes inflatable fan games with the speed gun, shoot at the wall competition.
Adidas will erect their inflatable 5-a-side soccer court, where the fans can test their football skills against each other.
To top all this exciting events an activation team is registering local fans for a competition where the winner wins a trip to Amsterdam worth 100k.
There are also specials at the Ajax Fan Store on the South side of the podium where fans can stock up on the latest range of Ajax Cape Town merchandise.
Gates open 18h00 with GoodLuck taking the stage at 19h00 followed by the kick-off at 20h15.
