Ajax Amsterdams players endured two weather extremes after they returned from the hot Sao Paulo summer to a frosty Amsterdam.
Surprisingly one or two players trained in shorts while the remaining players wore warmer training gear to combat the low temperatures at De Toekomst.
Amongst the players at the Ajax Amsterdam training ground was Khama Billiat, a striker at Amsterdam’s sister club Ajax Cape Town. He was warmly dressed for the occasion, wearing a beanie (cap), gloves, long track-suit pants and track top.
After the introduction of the new players joining the squad, the training session got underway with the players warm-up under the leadership of Rene Wormhoudt, on a frost covered surface. The players were then divided into in small groups fro the remainder of the training session.
The Ajax Amsterdam coach, Frank de Boer took Billiat into his group of players at training, for an exercise of touch and pass.
The goalkeepers joined the rest of the players after they had completed their individual training with Carlo l Ami.
