Writing critical reviews either depresses me or makes me angry, both emotions I don’t particularly care for. I guess I should appreciate the contrast they provide though, as it means that I can get genuinely excited when I get to review a gem like Massimo’s Pizza Club. Film Students Wait out Storm on Dassen Island
25 film students from Afda Film School are waiting out the storm on Dassen Island, off-shore of Yzerfontein on the West Coast. The 25 students are filming a project on Dassen Island, since Monday, but were unable to be collected on their predetermined return day, by their charter boat, due to the storm that converged on the Western Cape late on Monday. Speedway Cafe review
I love discovering interesting places. I had heard about the Speedway 105 Cafe (it has been open for 6 months), but had never been there. In fact, I had never even seen it even though I have driven along that street several times. On Friday afternoon at 16h11 NSRI Simonstown launched NSRI rescue craft Spirit of Safmarine III following a request for assistance from the fishing trawler Alma Lucie, with 10 crew on-board, experiencing engine failure, off-shore of Cape Point and requiring a tow to Port.
