Hermanus Rubber Duck Towed to Safety
On Sunday 14 February, NSRI Hermanus responded aboard Hunters Gold Rescuer to assist a rubber-duck at Skilphoek, near Hermanus, with engine failure, with 2 men and a female on-board, all from Cape Town's Northern Suburbs. NSRI Hermanus deputy station commander, Ian Alton, said that on arrival on-scene the crew aboard the casualty boat were found to be safe but drifting without motor power.
