Floating whale carcass mistaken for capsized boat

At 19h09 on 28 February NSRI Melkbosstrand volunteer sea rescue duty crew were activated following eye-witness reports of what appeared to be a large capsized boat seen floating about a nautical mile off-shore of Melkbos Point. Join Jennings and Phakati On the Final Leg of a Long Walk for Conservation

"Just as Mandela walked a long road to freedom, we have walked a long road for conservation," said Rights for Rhinos campaigners, Paul Jennings and Sboniso (Spoon) Phakati, as they near the end of their epic 2,000 km Musina to Cape Point walk to raise rhino poaching awareness. 18 July marks the 93rd birthday of former president Nelson Mandela. In the spirit of goodwill and in honor of his legacy, three young adventurers set off in the early hours of Sunday morning, 17 July 2011, on an expedition paddle to Robben Island. Anti Rhino Poaching Acitivists Nearing Cape Point after Walking 1 300 Kilometres
