Western Cape Tourism MEC Alan Winde has urged South Africans to vote for Table Mountain in the New 7 Wonders of Nature campaign. Winde has been named as an ambassador for the campaign. Tourism stakeholders in the Western Cape visited the Cape Town International Airport on Sunday to assess the impact of an ash cloud over Cape Town airspace. Members of the tourism and travel industry, led by MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism, Alan Winde, spoke to affected passengers, as flights in and out of Cape Town International, Port Elizabeth and East London airports were cancelled.
