Major traffic disruptions to Hertzog Boulevard/Oswald Pirow intersection

Motorists are warned to expect major traffic disruptions this long weekend in the Cape Town city centre due to construction on the intersection of Hertzog Boulevard and Oswald Pirow Street. Work will begin after the afternoon rush hour on Friday 23 April (at 18:00) and be finished before the start of morning rush hour (at 6:00) on Wednesday 28 April. Preselection lanes on Hospital Bend to be opened on Saturday

Traffic flow into Cape Town from Rhodes Drive (M3) and Settlers Way (N2) is expected to ease soon as the preselection lanes on Hospital Bend in the direction of the city will be opened to traffic for the first time on Saturday. People will also be able to use the new links to and from Anzio Road to access and leave Groote Schuur Hospital and Main Road Observatory. Boundary Road Traffic Disruptions

Motorists are advised to expect some disruption to the free flow of traffic at the intersection of Boundary Rd and the R27 for the weekend of Friday 5 – Monday 8 March 2010.
