2014 Rhodes Memorial Sunrise Service. Took place at Rhodes Memorial in Cape Town South Africa. Held every year on Easter Sunday and hosted by the Salvation Army. Free for anyone to attend. Gates open at 05:00 and you have to be there early otherwise you struggle to find parking and have a long walk ahead of you. Most people have breakfast in the form of a picnic after the event. Most years the weather does not play along and you do not really get to see the sun rise. This year the weather played along and the service and view was brilliant. A service is held to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The service starts at 06:30 and generally ends at sun rise which was at about 07:18 this year. Great service. Well done to all involved. This is not an official video and the video is not great quality. This video is merely to show the awsomeness of the event which takes place every year.
