Following an investigation by the Western Cape Anti-Corruption Unit, the members, two Warrant Officers and a Constable, were arrested as they reported for duty at the police station and are being detained on charges of theft and defeating the ends of justice.
It is alleged that during January this year they attended a murder scene where they stole dagga that was found on the premises and thereafter sold it to a resident of Ocean View. The dagga has since been recovered by the police.
The arrested members, aged 33, 43 and 47, are due to appear in Simon’s Town Magistrates Court later today.
