8 August 2019 by Con Tributor

The Democratic Alliance in the Western Cape welcomes the additional deployment of 52 newly graduated Traffic Officers who successfully completed a year-long Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) training at the Gene Louw Traffic College.

MPP Daylin Mitchell said: “I congratulate the 52 Traffic Officers for completing their rigorous training and thank them for the most valued service they will be providing to our province, assisting in keeping our roads safe through traffic law enforcement.”

With more than 48 000 applications received for Traffic Officer training, it is clear that there is more than enough residents who wants to help contribute towards positive change in our province and serve the Western Cape.

MPP Mitchell added: “I am particularly happy that the new Traffic Officers graduated ahead of the upcoming long weekend and trust that they will immediately be deployed to throughout the province. Long weekends and holiday seasons always sees higher volumes of traffic on our roads. I urge the new Traffic Officers to be diligent in their new roles and urge our road users to prioritise safety on our roads this weekend.”
