Boland Cellar Reserve No.1 Shiraz 2013
Over the years, Boland’s Reserve No.1 Shiraz has been awarded numerous national and international awards. The 2013 vintage was awarded Gold at the Mundus Vini International Wine Awards 2015 & another Gold at the Michelangelo International Wine Awards 2015.
Boland understands the importance and value of family and good company and this extraordinary award-winning single varietal wine was crafted to be enjoyed with friends and family. Winter calls for warm homemade cooked dinners, braaied marshmallows, a cosy blanket and a Boland Cellar #WinterRed in front of a fireplace.
In the spirit of collaboration, Carey Erasmus has kindly shared her Oxtail Recipe with Boland. Boland is all about collaboration, therefore we challenge you to add your own flavour, technique, style or flair to the recipe and share on Social Media how you enjoyed your #WinterRed and Oxtail with those dear to you.
So, light your fireplace, invite your family and friends, open a bottle of #BolandShiraz and cook up a storm. Enjoy the Shiraz-inspired meal, laugh abundantly and cherish these special moments.
Boland Cellar – Pioneers of Collaboration
Founded in 1941, Boland Cellar in the beautiful Paarl Valley is one of South Africa’s oldest producer cellars and a regional specialist with a history of cultivating and crafting internationally acclaimed wines.
The ethos of collaboration which led to the establishment of Boland has remained until today and with growers, employees, agents and stakeholders working together, Boland has become one of South Africa’s leading brands. Prime vineyards across various climatic zones guarantee consistency in style and quality year after year.
The cellar’s dedicated producer members deliver grapes from approximately 2,500 hectares (almost 6,200 acres), from various vineyard sites in the Cape Coastal Area. These variations in terroir, microclimates and soil-types combined with science and dedicated craftmanship, give Boland’s celebrated winemaking team the advantage to create wines of both high quality and distinctive character.
