Action-packed cricketing weekend at Dafabet St George’s Park Cricket Stadium

19 March 2024 by Con Tributor

T20 Challenge leaders Dafabet Warriors will be in action on their home ground of Dafabet St George’s Park twice over the coming public holiday and long weekend.

After a run of four straight wins, they play World Sports Betting Western Province on March 21, the public holiday.

“We are looking forward to our local fans turning out in force to help us maintain the winning momentum,” says captain Matthew Breetzke.

“There is nothing as inspirational as having the crowd behind you. Western Province come into the game with three wins and one loss and will be eager to improve their record.

“It will be a really entertaining match”.

Play starts at 14:00.

Fans attending an action-packed double header on Sunday, March 24, will stand a chance of winning up to R20 000 by catching a one handed 6 when hit into the stands.

The prize is R10 000 cash per match for the first spectator over the age of 18 to catch a one handed six.

If there is no winner in the Hollywoodbets Dolphins verses GBets Rocks match the prize will carry over to the Dafabet Warriors verses the Auto Investments North West Dragons, doubling the stakes and a whopping R20 000 can be won,” according to Leigh Deyzel of the Dafabet St George’s Park Cricket Stadium.

“We do not want to exclude our under 18 fans from this competition and if anyone under 18 should take the catch they will receive a voucher to the same value”.

The Dolphins vs Rocks game starts at 10:00, and the Warriors vs North West Dragons at 14:00.

Tickets are R40 adults and under 18’s free entry to all remaining matches at Dafabet St George’s.

Drinks specials throughout the day in the public bars and giveaways are also on the cards for fans at the double header.

A special Warriors Supporters Package for over 18s is available at R150.00 for the double header day only.

The package includes a ticket in a private chalet, parking, an arrival drink, and snack pack.

A cash bar will be available to make sure fans are refreshed throughout the day.

The ticket office is open all week from 9am-4pm and over the weekend from 9am – 1pm on Saturday.
