Ajax is all in

9 March 2012 by Alan

Ajax Cape Town players arrived at the adidas headquarters at Black River Park for a promotional five-a-side football game. However, the response from the adidas staff to the invitation to play against/with the Urban Warriors was so huge that the organisers had to extend the playing area in order to give everyone an opportunity to pit their skills against their football heroes.

Before the ball was even kicked a number of staff took turns to have their photos taken with the Ajax players prompting the event organisers to start the game to avoid a delay.

The adidas staff showed-off their skills and with Ajax players on opposite ends the teams were evenly matched.

Even though the game was competitive, it was played in good spirits.

Cole Alexander, Toriq Losper and Terror Fanteni starred for the “Red Bibs” while Brett Evans, Matthew Booth and Aiden Jenniker played for the “Yellow Bibs”.

At the end of the day everyone enjoyed the “kick-about” and post-match photos ended a great afternoon visit with adidas.
