The DHL Stormers kick off their Investec Champions Cup campaign with a home game against Bristol Bears at DHL Stadium on Saturday. Here is all you need to know ahead of match day.
This will be the first-ever match between the two teams and the DHL Stormers will be playing in their black alternate strip again as they look to build on a morale-boosting win at home against the Hollywoodbets Sharks last week.
Gates open at 14h15 ahead of kick-off at 16h15 and there is plenty to do at DHL Stadium beyond the 80 minutes of rugby, so make sure you plan your day out with us.
There is a big crowd expected, so please make sure you park remotely, make use of the free MyCiTi shuttle service and get to the stadium early.
The match
The DHL Stormers have another team full of stars, with 11 Springboks named in the match day squad.
Bristol Bears are certainly not short on firepower themselves, so this one promises to be a blockbuster as both teams aim to start their Investec Champions Cup campaigns on a winning note.

Getting to the stadium
Free MyCiTi shuttles
Spectators are urged to park in the city centre and make use of the free MyCiTi bus shuttles, which will run from the Civic Centre and Thibault Square bus stations. Simply show your match ticket on entry and get a free ride to the stadium. Please note that there are no shuttles running from the CTICC this week.
The first shuttles will leave at 13h45, after which a bus leaves on demand. The last return bus leaves the Stadium bus station at 20h15.
Use public transport to reach the bus stations and either catch the free shuttle to the stadium or use the Fan Walk.
Parking
Civic Centre: Open from 13h15, closes at 20h45. There is no public parking available at the CTICC this week.
Precinct parking (P4 & P9): Limited spaces available from 12h15. R120 by card only. Expect congestion.
DHL Stadium is in a residential precinct. Please respect the residents and co-operate with traffic officials on duty. Vehicles that are illegally parked will be fined and/or towed.
E-hailing
There is a dedicated e-hailing drop-off area on Helen Suzman Boulevard between York Circle and Beach Road. Spectators are warned that drop-and-go and pick-up in this area will have long delays due to expected traffic congestion.
Road closures
There will be controlled access to Vlei Road. Fritz Sonnenberg Road and Stephan Way will be closed. Please also note that there is ongoing construction at the V&A Waterfront, which will cause delays — plan your route accordingly.
Your match ticket
Ensure that you have added your match tickets to your phone’s wallet from the Stormers App before you get to the stadium, for a quick tap for easy entry. Screenshots will not work at the gates, so please add your ticket to your wallet in advance. Make sure you scan-in early to avoid a rush and congestion before kick-off.
All those entering the stadium are requested to have their tickets on their own phone to reduce congestion and delays on entry.
Tickets are available to purchase at stormers.co.za and at the stadium ticket office (card only) while still available. Tickets purchased from Viagogo or any other third party will not be valid.
All tickets have an allocated level, block and seat number. Please sit in the correct seat as printed clearly on your ticket and keep your ticket on you at all times.
