The Annual Debt Review Awards are being held on Friday 18th of October 2024.
Often consumer who are experience debt stress will consider entering debt review but are faced with the question of knowing who they should approach for help.
What if you could know who the most outstanding debt counsellors in the country are?
Well, you can.
On Friday this week,the debt review industry across the country will pause to find out the results of an industry wide peer review process that helps identify those debt counsellors and credit providers making debt review a success. The results of the peer review are announced at a modest Awards gala with around 200 guests attending in person.
Present will be the National Credit Regulator, National Consumer Tribunal, Payment Distribution Agents Association of South Africa and sponsors like Absa, FNB, Nedbank, Hyphen PDA, iPDA, DC Partner and others.
Currently, around R1.5 billion is distributed each month to credit providers via the debt review process and over 250 000 people are able to repay their debts in a realistic and manageable way through debt review. The Awards focuses on the good done but the debt review industry and those who excell at the debt review process.
The annual Debt Review Awards gala is being held in person in Cape Town this year but will be livestreamed over YouTube at 2pm (South African local time).
