Art speaks where words are unable to explain, it is something that makes you breathe and feel different kinds of emotions but most pertinently art is too important not to share.

Because there is a high rate of competition in the Art industry and the fact that most artists work individually, artists face a lot of struggles, they may experience the feeling of loneliness, however, the best we can do as a society is to support them in all aspects.

Obtaining aspirations, keeping up with talent, and lack of response are just a few of the challenges artists face, the most prevailing issue is sales and marketing.  The Artbank of South Africa has just the solution for this vital issue.

The Art Bank of South Africa is a national program of the Department of Sport, Arts, and Culture, that has the aim of purchasing artworks from South African artists, particularly artists that are still trying to find their way in the industry.

The mission of Artbank has the best interest of artists in mind, its mission includes stimulating the financial stability of artists through leasing art, and nourishing artists by enlarging their market and skills for development opportunities.

Annually the ArtbankSA surveys special art for its collection that continues to grow yearly, artists are invited to submit their contemporary artworks to be considered for accession for the year 2022, while the focus of this program is on emerging artists, established artists that are well established are also welcomed to make submissions. The deadline for submissions is 12pm on the 24th of June 2022. For more information regarding the criteria for submissions and requirements for the selected artworks visit ArtBanksSA
