Bafana camp a positive experience

19 January 2012 by Alan

Ajax Cape Town’s Nazeer Allie has labeled his three-week camp with Bafana Bafana as a big learning curve.

The Urban Warriors’ vice-captain says although this was not the first time he was in the national team set-up, he still learnt a lot.

"For my Ajax teammates and I, this was a learning curve and we got to understand new training methods. I met the players from other PSL teams and shared experiences with the guys. We also got to know them better," Allie told a local website.

"In a way the Bafana training camp and games helped us keep in shape and sharpened us for the Amsterdam trial because of the different weather conditions."

Allie is set to travel with his teammate, George Maluleka to Holland next week to train with mother club Ajax Amsterdam.
