Vaughn Seconds, NSRI Strandfontein station commander, said:
During a routine training exercise on Sunday, 2 August, our NSRI Strandfontein duty crew onboard the sea rescue craft Sharon assisted local angler Ebrahim Ebrahim, who was fishing from the beach, to recover his bait boat that was adrift in the surfline after fishing gut fouled the small boats propellor.
We located and recovered the casualty boat in the surfline off-shore of Broken Road, Strandfontein, and we brought the small bait boat ashore and handed her back to Mr. Ebrahim who was delighted and thankful.
No further assistance was required.
