Ian Klopper, NSRI helicopter rescue commander warns: “Weather predictions forecast extremely rough seas, high winds and lots of rain, along the West Coast, Western and Southern Cape and East Coast, over the next few days and reaching as far as the Kwa-Zulu Natal Coast by late Thursday.
Sea users are encouraged to wear and correctly secure life-jackets at all times while at sea but don’t launch your craft to go to sea unless you absolutely have to.
Make sure you have your sea emergency equipment handy at all times while at sea and know how to use your emergency equipment and baton down the hatches.
