Cape Town – Motlokoa Nkhabutlane of Lesotho has won the 2015 Two Oceans Marathon in Cape Town on Saturday.
Nkhabutlane won the race in a time of 3:10:27, more than two minutes ahead of Collen Makhaza, who in turn, finished just over a minute ahead of third-placed Moeketsi Mosuhli.
Caroline Wostmann secured victory in the women’s race in a time of 3:41:18, ahead of 2014 champion Nina Podnebesnova.
Ultra Marathon rookie Tanith Maxwell finished behind Podnebesnova in third.
Meanwhile, Stephen Mokoka and Lebogang Phalula were victorious in the men’s and women’s half-marathon events.
This is Mokoka’s third victory in the race, while Phalula won the title her twin sister, Diana-Lebo, who won the race a year ago.
