Cape Town – Western Province reportedly have their sights set on luring Springboks Marcell Coetzee, Cornal Hendricks and Pieter-Steph du Toit to Cape Town.
This follows after news broke on Wednesday that the Capetonians were also interested in luring Springbok flyhalf Johan Goosen to the Mother City.
According to Netwerk24, WP are particularly keen to attain the services of flank Coetzee from the Sharks, while several other local unions are believed to be interested in signing Hendricks.
Sharks lock Du Toit recently indicated that he would like to repay the faith his union had shown him through his periods sidelined with injuries, but he was schooled in the Western Cape and his family lives there, which makes a move back to the region an appealing one.
Argentine lock Manuel Carizza is believed to be heading to Racing Metro in France, which makes WP’s interest in signing another top lock understandable.
