Brackenfell vehicle licensing renewal drive-through facility is extending its weekday operating hours.
The City’s Brackenfell vehicle licensing renewal drive-through facility is extending its weekday operating hours from 07:00 to 18:00 until 31 December, making it easier for more motorists to renew their motor vehicle licences. The convenient drive-through service allows motorists to renew their licence discs in an average of just five minutes.
‘Since the launch of this innovative facility last year, the Brackenfell drive-through centre has been incredibly successful, helping thousands of motorists renew their vehicle licences quickly and conveniently.
‘Building on this success, we are extending weekday operating hours from 07:00 to 18:00 as a pilot initiative until the end of the year. Saturday operating hours will remain unchanged from 08:30-14:00
‘Following the pilot, the City will assess the service demand data to determine whether the extended hours should continue into the new year.
‘The drive-through facility caters exclusively for motor vehicle licence renewals and is designed to provide motorists with quick and efficient service. To further streamline our service, the facility operates on a cashless basis and accepts debit and credit cards only.
‘The City thanks motorists for their continued support and we encourage more residents to make use of the extended operating hours as we approach the busier end-of-year period,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Alderman Siseko Mbandezi.
