We’ve signed a Letter of Intent with @C STAR Holdings to supply Guilt-Free Hydrogen™ as feedstock for their containerized CO2-to-Diesel pilot plant, currently in development in Cape Town and targeting first fuel in H1 2027.
Under the proposed collaboration, our low-carbon hydrogen will be paired with C STAR’s proprietary technology to convert captured CO2 into liquid hydrocarbon products — including sustainable diesel and high-value paraffin wax. The framework is designed to scale alongside C STAR’s plant development, with volumes, specifications and delivery schedules to be defined in a future Definitive Agreement.
“This collaboration is a natural extension of what Guilt-Free Hydrogen™ was built for — giving industrial partners a clean, cost-competitive hydrogen supply they can build real production around. Pairing our hydrogen with C STAR’s CO2-to-Diesel process opens a credible route from captured CO2 to drop-in liquid fuels, right here in South Africa.” — @Dr Johan Brand, CEO, BurnStar Technologies
The LOI was signed by Dr Johan Brand on behalf of BurnStar and countersigned by Prof Nico Fischer on behalf of @C STAR Holdings on 23 July 2026.
South Africa is fast becoming a proving ground for the low-carbon fuels transition — proud to be building that route from captured CO2 to drop-in liquid fuels, right here at home.
