Cape Town hosts Africa’s Richest Race Day

Africa’s Richest race day makes its way to Kenilworth Racecourse on Saturday 28 January 2017. The Sun Met celebrated with Mumm announces a stellar entertainment line-up for this year’s event.

Race goers can rub shoulders with the who’s who of the horse racing, media, fashion and entertainment industry at this revered sporting event. Not only will the event feature a dazzling entertainment line-up which includes, Sketchy Bongo featuring Kyle Deutsch and Shekhinah, Goodluck, Euphonik and Mi Casa.

The likes of Sergio Ines, Melody Molale, Sarah Langa, I See A Different You and Jerri Mokgofe will all be styled in their ‘Decades of Glamour’ attire by the SA fashion prodigy Casper Bosman. The cognoscenti of South African style will also all be in attendance elevating the glamour theme to the stratosphere. Jeannie D, Minnie Dlamini, Khanyi Mbau are just a few of SA’s high-profiled stars and celebrities who will rock different decades on the day.

A public arena will host a variety of premium culinary experiences, bar facilities and music and entertainment by some of SA’s hottest acts.

Apart from all the entertainment and glamour, The Sun Met also offers equestrian enthusiasts the opportunity to see South Africa’s finest thoroughbreds compete in 13 nail-biting races for a stake of R2.5 million in the main event.
