Byron Bay is the eastern most point of Australia ‘s mainland. For the first sunrise of a new Year you can expect a lot of people here…one hour before sunrise there was a huge pilgrimage up to the lighthouse. I fled to my alternative vantage point…a ramp for hang gliders
