The picnic area at the top of Tygerberg Hill (about a 15 minute walk from the reserve entrance), shaded by alien pine trees which are home to some species of birds on the reserve.
Numerous birds of prey can be found on the reserve, including Jackal Buzzards, Peregrine Falcons, Rock Kestrels and Blackshouldered Kites.
