Cape Town Tourism Marketing Conference

CapeNature will be promoting their award-winning nature reserves and eco-tourism offerings at the Tourism Marketing Conference this year. With the travel and tourism sector open again after a debilitating hard lockdown, industry players need to focus on the importance of effective tourism marketing to gain a competitive edge in promoting tourism destinations, products and experiences.

At the event, Loren Pavitt, Corporate Marketing & Communications Manager, will unpack CapeNature’s marketing strategy in response to the global Covid-19 pandemic. “CapeNature has been resilient in its marketing efforts to be proactive to managing the challenges brought on by the global Corona Virus pandemic and the impacts of the South African economy. At the conference we will highlight successful eco-tourism campaigns that have been implemented in partnership with the tourism in a collective effort. The entity will also promote their Black Friday specials live from the conference with a pop-up booking customer service station,” says Pavitt.

“The 2nd Annual Tourism Marketing Conference gives industry players the opportunity to learn about and focus on the latest tourism marketing trends and opportunities, tourism innovation, positioning and branding” says organiser Chris de Klerk. The 2020 conference will have a strong focus on local tourism marketing within the conference theme “Re-Open, Re-imagine, Re-build”.

More than 12 speakers and panellists will discuss the way forward for tourism marketing during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Topics at the live event include: Local Tourism Marketing, Branding in Tourism, Destination Marketing, Media, Innovation & Technology, Reputation and online reviews, Tourist behaviour, Social Media and interactive marketing, Tourism and the Environment, Tourism Promotion, Relational Marketing in tourism (CRM), Digital marketing, Influencer and Referral Marketing, Content Marketing, the sharing/collaborative tourism economy and more.

The conference is open to all Tourism Product Owners and Marketers, Destination Marketers, DMO’s, Tourism Boards and tourism related marketing organisations, Hotels, B&B’s, Adventure Travel products and related tourism businesses.
