March For More, Share More and Get More with Ajax Cape Town and the Ashwin Willemse Marching Band

Capetonians are invited to join Hungry Lion’s ‘March for More’ in celebration of the opening of their flagship Hungry Lion store at the Golden Acre mall in Cape Town CBD on the 18th April.

Thousands of students from Prestwich Street Primary School, their parents and fans in Cape Town’s CBD will join Ajax Cape Town, a world-class thirty piece marching band and Hungry Lion bucket mascots for a ‘March for More’ to the new Hungry Lion Golden Acre store culminating in a festive celebration where children will get the opportunity to win great prizes and families will get to share more.

Free ice-creams and refreshments will be served to all children on the day (until 12PM) and Good Hope FM’s Guy MacDonald will offer kids and adults the opportunity to win spot-prizes sponsored by Coca-Cola and fans of Ajax Cape Town will get to meet the players and get their autographs.

The march will commence from Prestwich street primary school and will continue along the fanwalk to the Golden Acre Mall where the new flagship Hungry Lion store will be officially opened by the captain of Ajax Cape Town and will be hosted by Good Hope FM’s morning breakfast crew, Guy MacDonald and Carl Vastie.

“The event is in celebration of our new flagship store opening, anyone who joined us in Mitchells Plain last year for our World Record attempt will know that our brand always delivers on giving Mzansi MORE and this event is no exception,” says brand marketing manager at Hungry Lion, Tashalene Reid.

She explains that the new Golden Acre store is one of many that are part of the refurbishment and new brand offering of Hungry Lion. “Our goal is to be a first-world Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) and stores demonstrating openings like our Golden Acre one is making this a reality,” she adds.

Hungry Lion’s 170 stores, prides itself on offering ‘MORE’ for every man, woman and child across Mzansi (South Africa and Africa) with the stores and menu being crafted for people who want to share more and for lovers of king-sized chicken.

“Although Cape Town is receiving the first opening event of this magnitude, we have others planned for the Eastern Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Gauteng and throughout Africa,” Reid concludes.
