City’s Mobile Office Heads For: Strand, Bonteheuwel and Langa

17 April 2026 by Con Tributor

The City of Cape Town’s Mobile Office is heading to Strand, Bonteheuwel and Langa next week to bring essential municipal services directly to residents’ doorsteps. The mobile unit will be stationed at the Beverly Hills Life Change Centre in Strand on Monday, 20 April 2026. This will be followed by two Basket of Services visits at the Bonteheuwel Civic Centre and Langa Civic Centre on Wednesday, 22 April 2026. Residents are encouraged to skip the commute and visit the Mobile Office to resolve account queries and access City services.

The details are as follows:

  • Monday, 20 April 2026 from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Beverly Hills Life Change Centre, Cnr. of Webb and Boundary Road, Strand
  • Wednesday, 22 April 2026 from 09:00 to 15:00 at the Bonteheuwel Civic Centre, Cnr. of Kiaat and Bluegum Streets, Bonteheuwel
  • Wednesday, 22 April 2026 from 09:00 to 15:00 at the Langa Civic Centre, Cnr. of Church Street and King Langalibalele Drive, Langa

The City’s Customer Relations Department’s mobile team will assist residents with logging queries and service requests electronically.

The Basket of Services offering in Bonteheuwel and Langa will see several City departments present their services and will assist residents with enquiries or concerns around:

  • Human Resources for enquiries about bursaries, internships, and apprenticeships
  • Community, Arts and Culture Development to find out how you can get involved
  • Business Hub and Jobs Connect
  • Customer Relations
  • Energy for meter related issues, billing issues and account concerns
  • Health to find out more about primary health care services
  • Safety and Security for information about traffic and law enforcement services
  • EPWP and jobseekers to give unemployed youth an opportunity to register on the jobseekers’ database to make them eligible for job opportunities that become available in their local communities.

‘These mobile office and Basket of Services’ visits bring essential municipal support to residents’ doorsteps. This is a great opportunity for residents to resolve their non-emergency enquiries, including rates, water, electricity, and refuse accounts, in the comfort of their own neighbourhoods. We encourage Strand, Bonteheuwel and Langa residents to bring along their IDs or municipal accounts to ensure our teams can assist them with ease,’ said Alderman Theresa Uys, Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services.
