Critical Electricity Upgrades in Plumstead

17 June 2026 by Con Tributor

The City reminds residents of Plumstead and surrounds of upcoming critical electricity supply interruptions for infrastructure upgrades and maintenance, which will be carried out on Saturday, 20 June 2026. The areas impacted could also include Grassy Park, Lotus River, Ottery, Wetton and Fairways, among other neighbouring areas. To view the area outage map visit: https://bit.ly/4oyWX1x. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused while the essential maintenance is being carried out.

It is important to note that interruptions to supply will only impact the areas on the map and only on the relevant date. The work will be carried out from 20:00 on Saturday 20 June 2026 until 08:00 on Sunday 21 June 2026, if all goes to plan. An alternate date is also provided should the work not go ahead as planned. The maintenance will be carried out on:

  • Saturday 20 June 2026 or 27 June 2026

The outage may impact parts of the following areas, among others:

  • Plumstead
  • Grassy Park
  • Lotus River
  • Ottery
  • Wetton
  • Fairways
  • Wynberg
  • Rosmead
  • Parkwood
  • Southfield

Please note:

The electricity supply could be restored at any time and customers must please treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the planned maintenance work. Residents are encouraged to switch off appliances as a precaution to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power comes back on. The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation.
