Cape Town Minstrels enter Athlone stadium for annual Minstrel carnival competition. Stadium doors opens @ 6pm but bigger troops enter @ 8pm to compete, as they have sponsors and brands to be seen example Shoprite, Santam Insurance, Die Burger, Ashwin Willimse, Die Son, Pick&Pay and Extreme Paving . Troops are Judge on best dress. How they mix up minimum of 3 bright colours and drum major the way he moves to tunes on day one. They play 3 tunes latest hit, old school and South African jazz tune as they make it in the stadium.
