Earlier today, during a small ceremony in his office, Honourable Speaker Masizole Mnqasela, presided over the swearing-in of Mr Dan Plato as the newest Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament.
Honourable Plato has until recently served as Mayor of the City of Cape Town and, before that, as Western Cape Minister for Community Safety.
Honourable Plato is filling the vacancy left by Bonginkosi Madikizela.
