Dayimani comes in for DHL Stormers XXIII

24 April 2026 by CapeTownNewsReader

Loose forward Hacjivah Dayimani and fullback Dylan Miller will make their first appearances for the DHL Stormers XXIII in the coastal clash with the Hollywoodbets Sharks U23 at DHL Stadium on Saturday.

The SA Rugby U23 Cup encounter will kick off at 16h00 on Saturday, directly after the Vodacom URC match between the DHL Stormers and Glasgow Warriors. The match will be streamed live on the Stormers TV Youtube channel.

Miller joins Suleiman Hrtzenberg and JC Mars in an electric back three, with Ezekiel Ngobeni at scrumhalf in the only other change to the starting backline.

Dayimani will be at the back of the scrum, with the only other changes coming in the tight five as Tom Barnard joins Connor Evans at lock and hooker Luca Bakkes and prop Hencus van Wyk packing down in the front row.

High Performance Manager Hanyani Shimange said that after a spirited fight back last week, the DHL Stormers XXIII are determined to get back to winning ways.

“We were encouraged with aspects of the performance last week, but we know that we need to make the most of home advantage and bank a win this weekend.

“This is a team packed full of talent and the challenge will now be for them to impose themselves for the full 80 minutes,” he said.
