Dental veneers are a great way to elevate the aesthetic appearance of your smile. Veneers are used for a variety of cosmetic corrections and are intended to help patients whose teeth are irregularly shaped, discoloured, or have endured extensive damage.
At Ratan & Singh, our aim is to preserve as much of your natural smile, while ensuring exceptional long-term results through the use of high-quality materials, advanced technology, and exceptional attention to detail.
What are Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-made, natural-looking sheets of porcelain that are securely placed over the front surface of your teeth to mask its natural colour, shape, or positioning in your mouth. They are designed to act in exactly the same manner as your natural teeth, but with the added benefit of an enhanced appearance.
You can choose to get a single porcelain veneer for one affected tooth, or multiple veneers depending on the extent of the damage or how much you’re looking to enhance your smile.
How much do Disease Porcelain Veneers cost in Cape Town?
The costs associated with getting porcelain veneers can vary based on a number of factors:
– The material you choose for your veneers. Porcelain veneers are more expensive than composite veneers. This is attributed to its superior quality, durability, strength, and lifespan.
– The location of the tooth/teeth receiving the veneers. It is generally more expensive to have a porcelain veneer applied to a front tooth as opposed to one that is less visible.
– The number of teeth receiving porcelain veneers.
– Every case is different and it’s generally advised to consult a dental specialist for a quote that is tailor made for you.
While cheaper veneer options may seem appealing, it is important to get your veneers done by an experienced dentist. Cheap veneers can often lead to a variety of issues such as:
– Ill-fitting veneers which are not only uncomfortable, but will require several extra dentist visits to reshape the veneer
– Cheap veneers are more prone to chips, cracks, and other damages. This may lead to ongoing dentist visits, costly maintenance, or, in some cases even replacements.
– Due to the lower quality of the veneers, it will result in a less natural looking smile.
How do Porcelain Veneers work?
At our boutique dentist we pride ourselves on customizing the process to each individual client. First, you will come in for an initial consultation where we assess the condition of your teeth to determine whether veneers will be the best option for you. From there we will discuss a plan going forward.
If any other problems are detected during the initial consultation process such as the need for fillings or dental implants, those will need to be taken care of first before proceeding.
The application process of porcelain veneers involves two main steps, preparation, and bonding.
