Father’s Day culinary escape to Grande Provence
Surprise your dad this Father’s Day with a culinary escape to Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in the heart of the Franschhoek winelands on Sunday, 16 June.
The Restaurant at Grande Provence has created a delicious three course set lunch menu with a signature twist on South African heritage food, including a glass of bubbly on arrival.
The lunch begins at 12h00 with an enticing amuse bouche of samosa & biltong churros before you tuck into beef skilpadjies or cured kabeljou for starters. The choice for hearty mains is between beef Wellington with parsnip puree and fondant potatoes, or line fish, coconut curry with tomato basil spinach and tempura mussel. For dessert, poached guava with homemade guava cake and yoghurt sorbet or malva pudding with fresh berries and warm custard, is sure to satisfy your dad’s sweet tooth.
This indulgent menu is available at R495 per person.
If you really want to go the extra-mile, make a weekend of it and take advantage of the Grande Provence Winter Heartland accommodation offer.
