October is Transport Month, and the City would like to ask residents what they think about about public transport with a new questionnaire each week. The objective is to better understand the general experience of public transport users in Cape Town so as to better inform the development of the City’s 2012 – 2016 Integrated Transport plan.
This week, residents are asked to comment on the issue and challenges of implementing and managing ‘dedicated lanes’ for public transport.

Transport Month provides a unique forum for residents to engage with the City on important public transport issues. Staff are encouraged to provide their feedback and consider the various environmental, social and economic implications of the use of a private vehicle versus public transport.
