Originally part of the old road that connected this settlement with Cape Town, many of these structures have been recognized as national monuments. The manors along Dorp Street aren’t the only historic attractions in Stellenbosch, as there are some of the aforementioned stately oak trees that line its streets have also been honored as national monuments.
