Kenilworth Centre Celebrates Heritage Day by Joining the Upside

This Heritage Day, Kenilworth Centre is proud to launch an uplifting campaign that celebrates the resilience, positivity, and joy that are at the heart of South Africa. As part of our commitment to spreading happiness, we are asking a powerful question:
“Where do most people find the inspiration and motivation to rise above everyday challenges and discover genuine, lasting happiness?”

Our answer to this is simple: “Let happiness be our heritage.” This guiding principle reminds us that, no matter the obstacles, happiness is something we can all find and share with those around us. Through this campaign, we aim to inspire people to find positivity in their lives and spread joy to others, making happiness a part of our shared legacy.

At Kenilworth Centre, we believe that Heritage Day is not only about reflecting on our roots, however also about celebrating the optimism and strength that carry us into the future. We are inviting everyone to share how they’ve chosen to #JoinTheUpside. Whether it’s a story of overcoming a difficult time or how you’ve inspired others, your story can contribute to a growing movement of positivity.

To make this even more exciting, we’re running a special competition! We want to hear your story of how you’ve turned a hard-luck moment into an opportunity or how you’ve helped others rise above their challenges. Share your story with us by using the hashtags #UpsizeMyUpside and #KenilworthCentre on social media, and you could stand a chance to WIN your share of R1 000 in vouchers!

Additionally for all food lovers we will be celebrating our Heritage with a delicious akni challenge. Are you Cape Town’s Akni Master? Kenilworth Centre wants to find out! Whether your secret recipe is traditional or modern, show off your culinary skills to compete for the title, bragging rights, AND fantastic prizes.

To enter, contact Gouwa Waja on 021 671 5054 before September 20th. Entries will be limited and considered on a first come, first served basis. Then, join us for the grand finale on September 28th at Kenilworth Centre, where the aroma of spices and community spirit will fill the air! Happiness IS our heritage. Proudly supported by Voice of the Cape!
