Kirstenbosch Garden Walks

Kirstenbosch is a place of beauty and wonder, and no one knows the treasures of this majestic garden better than the Botanical Society’s volunteer Garden Guides.

This summer, for the first time ever, they will be offering their free guided walks from both Gates 1 and 2 – in a mixture of short and longer walks.

On weekdays there will be 50-minute walks from both gates at 11h00 and 12h00, and 90-minute walks from Gate 1 at 10h00 and 14h00. On Saturdays 50-minute walks will be offered from both gates at 10h00 and 11h00.

Each guided walk is tailored to the season, the weather and the particular interests of visitors. It is not only tourists and bus trippers who take advantage of these walks – there are always surprises and revelations on offer for local residents.

Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes.

Mon – Fri: Gate 1

90 minute walks at 10h00 and 14h00

50 minute walks at 11h00 and 12h00

Gate 2

50 minute walks at 11h00 and 12h00

Saturday: Gate 1

50 minute walks at 10h00 and 11h00

Gate 2

50 minute walks at 10h00 and 11h00
