The countdown to SA’s definitive marketing, promotions and special events trade exhibition has begun. In just under three weeks, the City of Cape Town will be bustling with over 100 exhibitors keen to showcase their products and services in the marketing, special events, promotions and associated industries.
Taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 23 to 25 August daily, visitors can expect exciting features such as the AdVantage Village, an interactive area in which Cape Town’s top advertising agencies, design shops, PR companies and marketing consultants will showcase their services, and an access-controlled ‘Trade Only’ section for wholesalers to connect exclusively with resellers.
This year also sees the first-ever Unique Speakers Bureau Pavilion, which will showcase the exceptional skills and topics of some top international and local professional business speakers and MCs. An intimate enclosed theatre, with seating on a first-come-first-served basis, will give visitors seeking global marketing insights or a top international speaker for their events the opportunity to witness these renowned authorities in action. All recognised names at the top of their respective fields, most of the USB speakers have worked internationally and are considered amongst an elite group of global speakers who earn a living from their expertise. Presentations and workshops will include the likes of Lewis Gordon Pugh (Achieving the Impossible), Daniel Silke (The Consumer of the Future – How global, political, social & economic trends influence & drive the discerning consumer), Justin Cohen (Psychology of Success), Michelle McLean (Real Beauty), Shelley Walters (Socialocity Re-engineering your business through social media), Ryan Hogarth (Social Media), Gary Bailey (LEAD), Helen Nicholson (The Art of Networking Workshop), and Donna Rachelson (Branding and Marketing YOU). In a coup for Markex and visitors, top international speaker Geoff Ram will be delivering three presentations in the USB Pavilion – ‘Now That’s What I Call Marketing (Selling, Sales, Sold)’; ‘Now That’s What I Call Observational Marketing’; and ‘Now That’s What I Call Marketing (Rocket Your Retail)’.
