Milnerton Primary School Road Works

18 July 2025 by CapeTownNewsReader

The City’s Urban Mobility Directorate is pleased to announce that various roads around Milnerton Primary School will be converted into one-way roads. This decision follows the public participation processes conducted in June 2022. After careful consideration, it was decided to implement time-restricted one-way road conversions indicated by signage before the reopening of schools in July 2025.

The time-restricted one-way road conversions will be from 07:00 to 08:30 and 14:00 to 15:00 on school days and will be implemented along the following roads:

  • Langerman Avenue from Arum Way to Begonia Street
  • Begonia Street from Langerman Avenue to Graaff Avenue
  • Graaff Avenue from Begonia Street to Zastron Road

‘This intervention is an effort to create safer access for vulnerable road users and improve traffic flow during school days. The time-restricted one-way conversions around Milnerton Primary School will enhance pedestrian safety. Next week Tuesday, 22 July 2025, Traffic Services will be on-site to assist with directing traffic and educating road users about the new street signage,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
