Today, 24 February 2017, Democratic Alliance Leader, Mmusi Maimane, will lay charges against members of Cabinet, the SAPS, Hawks, the NPA and senior government officials.
In 2015, the North Gauteng High Court ruled that Cabinet members and senior government officials “failed to take steps to arrest and/or detain the President of the Republic of Sudan Omar Al Bashir”, therefore making their actions “inconsistent with the Constitution” and “invalid”. A common trend by the ANC and Zuma.
The highest echelons of Zuma’s Cabinet purposefully aided and abetted the escape of a wanted war criminal. This cannot be allowed to happen while the Rule of Law and Constitutionalism remain fundamental principles and prescripts of the country’s young democracy.
