2 November 2026 by Con Tributor

Statement By Councillor Rob Quintas, Mayoral Committee Member For Urban Mobility.

Discussions with the Minibus Taxi Industry on Sunday, 1 November 2026 has provided reassurance for the Monday morning commute.

Through engagement with SANTACO Leadership during the course of Sunday, the industry has confirmed that commuters can expect to rely on the minibus taxi industry for their Monday morning journeys.

All other public transport services will be operating, and SAPS, City and Provincial safety services will continue into the week with visibility and surveillance of various routes, ranks, and stations.
