This video is a compilation of about two and half to three years worth of GoPro footage that I’ve collected since 2012 while working as a volunteer and staff memeber at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, South Africa.
Earlier this year I was requested to prepare a speach for the Two Oceans Aqauariums De Beers Marine, Young Course graduation ceremony, as I was once a Young Biologist myself in 2006.
I decided to put a video together as part of my presentation to try and express the amount of fun and happiness that my job brings me, whether it be working at one of the top aquariums in the world in one of the most amazing cities in the world, to the amazing staff and volunteers that make the Two Oceans Aquarium the success that it is.
However, after around 3 weeks of editing, the video grew past just the graduation and I realized it would be a wonderful way to express the love for my amazing job to more than just the Young Biologists, but to the rest of the aquarium staff and people of the world who don’t get to see what we get to see.
