Partnership to build capable state established:

The Public Service Commission, together with the National Planning Commission, the National School of Government and the UNDP today entered into an agreement on a joint programme to contribute to government’s efforts to build state capability over the next five years.

The public took to this description and because the word metropolis is taken from the Greek derivative of meter or metros meaning mother and polis meaning city, the nickname of “Mother City” was born.
