Petrol up R3, diesel up R7: Record-breaking fuel increases hit SA motorists from April

South Africa faces an unprecedented fuel crisis that threatens to devastate the country's economic recovery, with petrol prices expected to rise by more than R5 a litre and diesel by R11 a litre on Wednesday 1 April.

South African motorists will face the largest fuel price increases in the country’s history from tomorrow, 1 April, with petrol rising by R3.06 per litre and diesel by more than R7.00 per litre.
