Planned interruption of electricity supply to Kuilsriver

16 September 2011 by CapeTownNewsReader

The electricity supply in Kuilsriver will be interrupted on Sunday 18 September 2011 to enable the City of Cape Town’s Electricity Department to carry out essential work on its high voltage network to ensure the future quality of supply to the area.

This will affect customers in the City of Cape Town’s area of electricity supply. The interruption will take place between 06:00 and 18:00 and will exclude the suburbs of Sarepta, Kalkfontein and Feige.

The supply could be restored at any time and customers are warned to treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption.

In the case of bad weather on 18 September 2011 the work will be postponed to Sunday 25 September 2011 from 06:00 to 18:00.

Residents can contact the Electricity Department’s all hours Technical Operations Centre on 0860 103 089 for more information or any enquiries regarding the planned electricity supply interruption.

The City apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding.
