MyPR: S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna Honour Asian Culinary Talent:

South Africa, February 2020 – This year S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna will support once again Asian cuisine talents at the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. After two successful years in Macao, this year’s event will take place in Saga Prefecture in Japan. The show – held on Tuesday 24th March – will bring together the region’s most respected chefs and restaurateurs in the city of Takeo to celebrate excellence in Asian gastronomy.

Located on Japan’s Kyushu island, Saga Prefecture’s proximity to neighbouring Asian countries has made it a key trading destination and a hub of cultural exchanges for centuries. The awards ceremony and programmed events will showcase Saga Prefecture’s rich culinary culture, exceptional craftsmanship, and local agriculture.

Year after year, S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna are working side by side with Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants to encourage the exploration of new culinary trends, the discovery of ingredient origins, and the creation of new dishes. Together they have enlivened the spirit of innovation and sharing within the Gastronomy Community.

‘We are thrilled to join the eighth edition of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in Saga Prefecture, home to a rich culinary heritage. Revolutionary and inventive chefs from across Asia will come together in this Japanese region that is steeped in tradition and nature to witness the creation of new dishes thanks to cooperation and interaction. It will be an honour for us to contribute to the celebration of fine dining throughout this region, recognising the pioneers and innovators of gastronomy’, says Paolo Passoni, International Relations Manager at Sanpellegrino

Ahead of the unveiling of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2020 on 24 March, a series of individual awards will be announced, including the winners of the Asia’s Best Female Chef Award, the American Express Icon Award, and the Miele One To Watch Award.

FineDiningLovers, the online leading voice in gastronomy by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna for worldwide food enthusiasts, will share insights on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2020.
