In the heart of the Klein Karoo on the border of the Garden Route, lies the town Oudtshoorn that is best known for the spectacular Cango Caves that stretches deep into the Swartberg Mountains. These tours are created to be educational about these remarkable birds and their fascinating nature. The tours allow visitors the opportunity to come face-to-face with these magnificent and ancient birds. Visitors will be able to feed the ostriches, test the strength of the eggs by holding or standing on them, and visit the incubator during breeding season and witness chicks hatching. There are two restaurants on the farm that serves delicious homemade and unique dishes. Be sure to try the healthy Ostrich Fillet as part as a 3-course set menu lunch or enjoy a selection of light meals from the Safari Café.
The Safari Ostrich Farm offers the widest range of Ostrich leather products in South Africa. Ostrich leather is exotic leather distinctive for its pattern and raised quill follicles.
