Ajax Cape Town, fresh from their dramatic last gasp win in their last game play Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Sunday 19 February starting at 15h30.
The Urban Warriors are hyped by their come-from-behind win against Platinum Stars and will be carrying that positive energy into this game however Ajax have lost the services of their captain Granwald Scott and Pual Rusike.
Ajax coach Maarten Stekelenburg said, “We have lost the services of Granwald Scott and Paul Rusike because both are suspended while Shabalala is still out due to an injury picked up during training and we will assess Toriq Losper and Terror Fanteni before we leave in order to evaluate their availability ahead of this game.
We have enough cover for each player in the squad and all the players know our system.
I believe that fielding the strongest line-up available is paramount to ensuring success on the field. We want to climb up the log standings and in order to achieve that we need to win this game.
There are no easy games in the PSL. Even though United are playing at home it does not guarantee them an advantage.”
United and Ajax have played in some epic encounters that finished in a number of scored draws in the last seven games.
Ajax is on a four-game winning streak and The Urban Warriors will be looking to extend their winning run in order to stay in touch with the pace-setters in the ABSA Premiership.
